Sonair's Sigrid Øygard (PhD) has been following sound ever since, through medical imaging, through underwater sonar, into the physics of what sound can show us, like nothing else.

Here she talks about the barrier that kept 3D ultrasound out of the air, what it took to break it, and why she thinks sound is still one of the least explored ways of sensing the world.
